“One of the things I appreciate most about SecurityScorecard is the opportunity to keep learning. Whether it’s partnering with teams across the company, presenting to senior leadership, or using AI to build entirely new solutions, I’ve always been encouraged to step outside my comfort zone and continue growing.”
Looking back, what originally attracted you to SecurityScorecard, and what made you decide it was the right place for you?
“When I interviewed at SecurityScorecard, I was immediately drawn to the clear path the company had for the role and its innovative approach to cybersecurity. It was a completely new industry for me, and I saw an opportunity to learn, grow, and build a long-term career while contributing to work that has a real impact. Cybersecurity is such an important part of everyday life, and even more so now with AI. What we’ve been able to do with TITAN AI in the past few months is only pushing that boundary more.”
Is there anything you learned at SSC that you would not necessarily learn in another industry?
“One of my favorite parts of my role is that I get to partner with nearly every team across the company, from Marketing and HR to Technology and Product. It gives me a much broader understanding of the business than I would have had working within a single function.”
How has your role evolved since you joined, and what are you most proud of accomplishing along the way?
“One of the accomplishments I’m most proud of is transforming our budgeting process. We moved from static Excel spreadsheets to interactive dashboards powered by AI, which completely changed how we collaborate with senior leadership. Instead of walking through hundreds of line items, we’re able to have more meaningful, strategic conversations.”
“As our company increasingly deploys AI-powered processes across departments, I wanted to take advantage of AI to build something we hadn’t been able to before. It’s exciting to use new technology to make our work more collaborative and impactful.”
How have you been encouraged to take on new opportunities or stretch outside your comfort zone?
“I’ve had the opportunity to expand beyond Finance by supporting our Legal Operations work. One thing I especially appreciate about working at SecurityScorecard is taking on projects outside my core responsibilities, since this helps me develop new skills and continue growing professionally.”
What keeps your work exciting, even after being here for a while?
“What keeps my work exciting is the opportunity to collaborate across so many different teams. I’m also fortunate to have leaders and colleagues who continuously encourage me to challenge myself and keep growing.”
If a new teammate joined your team tomorrow, what advice would you give them to be successful here?
“Don’t be afraid to ask questions. SecurityScorecard moves quickly, but no matter the day or time, there’s always someone willing to help. That collaborative culture has made a huge difference in my own growth.”
When you look ahead, what are you most excited to learn, build, or accomplish next?
“I’m excited to continue exploring how AI can improve our processes and help us make even better decisions and build smarter solutions for the future.”
