Name: Minh Pham

Role: Senior Customer Success Manager

Tell us a little about your personal & professional background.

I have two small dogs, chihuahuas! Only one is a terrible dog, the other is an angel. I enjoy
painting, debates, reading and most recently, learning how to trade options.

Before coming to SecurityScorecard, I worked on the compliance side of the house, creating due
diligence workflows and questionnaires.

What made you want to pursue the Comp TIA Security+ certification?

To put to the test all of the security knowledge I’ve gained so far and get more credentials that represent my technical side. I did not study a lot and instead hoped that my experience would help me pass; well, I failed the first time in April, but only by 20 points.

I put in some time studying the acronyms and what a bollard is and passed the second time around in June! Bollards were surprisingly in about 3 of the questions, go figure!

What key takeaways and learnings did you get from your experience?

The experience I’ve had at SSC really taught me a lot about security; most of the questions on the test, I knew from speaking with customers, helping customers create scored questionnaires (which gave me insight into preferred answers) and learning from my colleagues (thank you IS training!).

How will you apply this information to your role/to SSC?

It makes me more confident when sharing best practices with my customers and helps me
understand my customer’s goals and objectives. I truly appreciate the education stipend for giving me the motivation to get this credential; I’m excited to get more under my belt.
