John Deere (also known as Deere & Company) is a manufacturer of agricultural, construction, and forestry machinery. It operates through four segments: Production and Precision Agriculture, Small Agriculture and Turf, Construction and Forestry, and Financial Services. The Production and Precision Agriculture segment delivers mid-size tractors, combines, cotton pickers, sugarcane harvesters and loaders, and soil preparation, seeding, application, and crop care equipment. The Small Agriculture and Turf segment manufactures mid-size and small tractors, as well as hay and forage equipment, riding and commercial mowing equipment, golf course equipment, utility vehicles, etc. The Construction and Forestry segment manufactures and distributes a range of machines and service parts used in construction, earthmoving, road building, material handling, and timber harvesting, including crawler dozers and loaders, four-wheel-drive loaders, excavators, skid-steer loaders, milling machines, and log harvesters, etc. The Financial Services segment primarily finances sales and leases by dealers of agriculture and turf equipment and construction and forestry equipment.
