Paul Gagliardi is the Head of Threat Intelligence & CISO at SecurityScorecard. He is responsible for overseeing a team of malware researchers and vulnerability analysts conducting research and maintaining indicators of compromise at scale across the internet such as SecurityScorecard’s massive malware sinkhole. Additionally he provides domain expertise within the company and leads corporate security strategy from a defensive perspective.
Prior to SecurityScorecard, Paul has 10 years of contracting experience for a US Intelligence Agency developing cyber security tools with extensive reverse engineering expertise. In that time Paul owned and operated a government contracting company, Arma Consulting. Paul has focused on both Windows and Industrial Control Systems (ICS/SCADA) security.
Paul has been cited in Wired, CNet, DarkReading, CyberScoop, Security Ledger and more. He has spoken at both Black Hat 2018 and 2019 as well as being a subject matter expert in the Shared Assessments SIG group developing the next third party risk assessment involving Industrial Control Systems.
He has an M.S. in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University and a B.S. in Computer Science from Colorado State University. Paul lives in Washington DC.
