ISC2 CPE Submission Process with SecurityScorecard
SecurityScorecard is now recognized as an ISC2 CPE Submitter!
For specific webinars and events, SecurityScorecard is proud to offer CPE credit! However, the process has changed, so we’ve put together this page to explain some of the basics.
How ISC2 CPE Submission Works with SecurityScorecard
Webinars: Live-Attendance
Upon registering for eligible webinars, you would have been prompted to provide your ISC2 Member ID. Based on this, we (SecurityScorecard) will pull an activity report from BrightTALK and submit to ISC2 within 48 hours of the conclusion of the webinar.
The fields required for submission that we will pull from BrightTALK include:
- ISC2 Member ID (cannot contain letters)
- ISC2 Member First Name
- ISC2 Member Last Name
- Event/Course Name (will appear as Title in Members record)
- # CPEs
- Start Date of Activity
Please ensure your BrightTALK and ISC2 Member fields match.
Webinars: On-Demand Attendance
Upon watching a webinar on-demand, you will be able to “Download Viewing Certificate” from the “Recently Viewed” section of your BrightTALK account.). Please provide this and the following fields to [email protected]:
- ISC2 Member ID (cannot contain letters)
- ISC2 Member First Name
- ISC2 Member Last Name
- Event/Course Name (will appear as Title in Members record)
- # CPEs
- Start Date of Activity
Please ensure your BrightTALK and ISC2 Member fields match.
We will collect and submit these at the end (last business day) of each month.
Events
Upon registering for eligible events, you would have been prompted to provide your ISC2 Member ID. Based on this, we (SecurityScorecard) will submit to ISC2 within 2 weeks of the conclusion of the overall event.
- ISC2 Member ID (cannot contain letters)
- ISC2 Member First Name
- ISC2 Member Last Name
- Event/Course Name (will appear as Title in Members record)
- # CPEs
- Start Date of Activity
When registering, please make sure your form submission and ISC2 Member fields match.
Calculating CPE Credits
For webinars and events, we will be submitting for Group A (Domain Related) CPEs.
For a 30 minute session, you can expect us to submit for 0.50 credits.
For a 45 minute session, you can expect us to submit for 0.75 credits.
For a 60 minute session, you can expect us to submit for 1 credit.
Record Keeping & Tracking CPEs
As a best practice for the submission process, we recommend providing proof of your CPE activities through the Supporting Documentation section in the CPE portal.
For webinars, you can download a viewing certificate from BrightTALK.
It is advisable to retain documentation and beneficial to keep proof of credits earned for at least 12 months beyond the expiration of your current certification cycle in the event of an audit.
If CPE credits are not posted within six weeks of the expected submission date, please contact us.
