Here at SecurityScorecard, one of the principles embedded in our S[CORE]card values is the idea of One Scorecard, this means that regardless of where we are located, or what our job function may be, we are all on the same team.
We strive everyday to create a workplace and team that embraces, diversity, fun, and collaboration. At SecurityScorecard, there is a rich sense of community, not only as a community of colleagues, but as a team dedicated to serving others.
Here’s a look at some of our internal community initiatives.
Every Monday, we have a company-wide All Hands Meeting which allows us the chance to recognize our peers for their hard work and discuss the week that lies ahead. One of the highlights of this meeting, is our Remote Scorecarder Spotlight. The Remote Scorecarder Spotlight gives the stage each week to a different member of the SSC community to tell us about their SecurityScorecard journey and a bit more about themselves. As half our team is based outside of HQ, this provides a great way for our remote Scorecarders to feel connected to the rest of us, and sheds light on their incredible accomplishments!
In alignment with our company’s vision to make the World a Safer Place, we recognize the value of giving back to those in the Community around us. Project ESCHER, launched at the beginning of this year, is an endeavor through which SecurityScorecard provides nonprofits focused on human rights, social justice, democracy, economic equality, animal welfare, and community engagement, the ability to access the SecurityScorecard rating platform for free. This can make a huge difference for nonprofits who generally may not have the budget to conduct vendor risk analysis even though they are working with accounts which may be vulnerable.
Beyond Project ESCHER, we give back in the community through a variety of endeavors, including a partnership with St. Baldrick's and Food Service Volunteering at the Grand Central Food Program in New York.
Within the company, we like to emphasize a culture based on the belief that you can work hard and still have plenty of time left in the day to play hard! We have a number of interest groups to participate in here at SSC, whether that be our Ballers of SSC (the Scorecarder basketball league), our monthly Book Club, or even our Music Group, which is constantly sharing and discussing various artists.
Our commitment to cultivating a community at SecurityScorecard extends beyond the walls of our office. We are one team, with the same objective: to make the world a safer place, and we recognize that this goal can only come about when our team works together as one unit. Our employees are our biggest asset and we encourage them to bring their authentic selves to work every day.
